Dear Participant

Please carefully read the following information regarding the practical component and refund policy for Lactation for Health Professionals course running on Saturday October 12th and 13th 2024.Practical sessions designed to teach assessment and treatment of the breast will involve observation and palpation and participants will swap roles of therapist and ‘client’. We recognise that it is possible that a participant who is unfamiliar with this type of peer learning may feel uncomfortable. However it is felt that acting as the ‘client’ and having the opportunity to practice assessment and treatment techniques is an essential part of developing clinical proficiency.Practical sessions will be dealt with in a professional manner and tutored in smaller groups. If you have any questions regarding this component of the course it is important you contact the course convenor as soon as possible. If you feel you will be unable to act as the ‘client’ you are expected to provide another consenting adult woman who will act as the ‘client’.As participants in this course you are required to signify your consent to participate in the practical sessions below. .

Refund Policy:

A 90% refund will be issued if cancellation is received up to two months before the event (August 4th 2024). The remaining 10% goes to offset the administrative costs.A 50% refund will be issued up to 6 weeks before the event (August 31st 2024)However, in either of those two circumstances, if a substitute person can be found so that host organiser is not impacted financially there will be a 90% refund – the remaining 10% goes to offset the administrative costs.No refunds will be issued once online material is distributed 6 weeks prior to the start of the event.Notice of cancellation must be provided to the host organiser via email and will be confirmed via reply email. The host organiser cannot accept responsibility for correspondence that is delayed or for failure of delivery.In the unlikely event the course is cancelled by the organisers, registration fees will be fully refunded. No liability will be accepted for travel, accommodation or other costs / expenses incurred by participants.
